LEGO Pharaoh’s Quest Scorpion Pyramid 7327 Review

LEGO Pharaoh’s Quest Scorpion Pyramid 7327 Review

If you have a LEGO fan in the house who loves the “Adventures” themes, then you simply must get the LEGO Pharaoh’s Quest Scorpion Pyramid 7327 set. It’s so much fun, provides endless play options, and has some cool features (e.g. a pop out coffin, Lego brick dumping trapdoor, and a lever that opens up a wall when pulled).

Features of the LEGO Pharaoh’s Quest Scorpion Pyramid 7327

The idea behind the LEGO Pharaoh’s Quest Scorpion Pyramid set is pretty simple. Players need to help the heroes (Jack Raines, Mac McLoud, and professor Archibald Hale) navigate through booby trapped stairs, sliding doors, and the pharaoh’s tomb to find the Golden Nemes. All this should be done while avoiding obstacles and preventing the pharaoh’s minions from getting to the Golden Nemes first and awakening the pharaoh to unleash evil to the world. Everything needed to assemble the set and complete the quest is made possible with an array of features including:

  • A giant scorpion and 7 mini figures: the 3 heroes/explorers, Pharaoh Amset-Ra, 2 Anubis guards, and 1 flying mummy.
  • An array of accessories including swords, spears, guns, scarab shields, binoculars, snakes, scorpions, wrenches, golden coins, an armored ATV, and more.
  • Blocks for building the pyramid, snake pit, stairs, and more.

Assembling everything and putting the mini-figures and other fixtures in place is made easy by the LEGO set’s packaging. The various pieces of the set are packaged in numbered bags, which correspond with the sections of a two-part instruction manual. This makes it easier for young kids to assemble the set without help from adults.

Is the LEGO Pharaoh’s Quest Scorpion Pyramid 7327 Worth Buying?

While the price for this set is slightly high, the endless fun and laughter your child will enjoy makes it a worthwhile buy. What’s more, a good number of users claim that the set gives you good value for money since the various pieces feel sturdy and durable.

Pros

  • Has lots of new and exciting molds that are not found in other LEGO adventures sets.
  • The set is designed with playability in mind and has lots of cool features – trap doors, moving parts etc. that will gain the awe of kids.
  • It’s relatively huge and therefore leaves plenty of room for movement.
  • Comes with a ton of weapons and accessories that make play more fun.
  • Offers excellent quality and is in fact one of the top more expensive LEGO sets out there.

Cons

  • Has a lot of tiny loose pieces that can be hazardous to toddlers under 3 years.
  • A few users are displeased with the extensive use of stickers and wish that the bricks had been printed or painted instead.

Conclusion

While this Lego set may have a few flaws, it still transports the minds of players to Egypt in captivating style. Its playful design, new molds, abundance of weapons, and character divide (villains and heroes) will greatly satisfy the palate of any Adventures theme LEGO fan who loves fantasy and action.
